Facilitator

(they/them)

Neurodivergent, BIPOC, Queer, Transgender, Differently-Abled

Chaska is a queer, Black, nonbinary, neuro-queer educator. They love to nerd out about the soft skills, body mechanics, and relational dynamics within a rope experience. They’re passionate about facilitating spaces that center deep connection, safety, acceptance, and respect. Their vanilla life is heavy on trauma-informed care and creating healthy relationships, and they weave their vanilla training into what they share in the kink space. They tend to go for rope experiences that challenge them physically, mentally, and emotionally, including delving into self-tying. They were inspired by the internet to try rope (IYKYK), and instantly fell in love with the intensity of the practice. They existed on the fringes of RING, occasionally teaching a class or providing support for years before becoming an official member, educator, and now Board President. They were drawn to RING primarily because of Jane and their non-dogmatic approach to rope, which made them feel accepted and embraced. They’re excited to continue to bring their unique views and experiences to the rope community as a whole.
