2026 Class Outline

Find Your Bottoming Voice

Presenter: Altaira

Summary: Explore various ways of experiencing and communicating in rope. Through guided somatic exercises, you will play with elements such as stiffness and fluidity, activation and passivity, verbal and non-verbal processing, and learn how to bring them into your own bottoming style. All exercises can be done partnered or solo.

Reconnection Through Rope

Presenter: Chaska

Summary: A somatic, relational class for rope bottoms This class is for rope bottoms who feel called to deeper connection with their body through rope. Whether you’re navigating changes in your body, recovering from a loss of confidence, or simply wanting a more embodied rope practice, this class invites you to reframe rope as a somatic and relational modality, not just an aesthetic or performance.

Lessons in Longevity for Rope Bottoming

Presenter: Asherah

Summary: This class will discuss some of the best practices for both rope bottoms and tops, seeking to learn how to protect and care for all bodies in rope, as well as what we can do to avoid long term repetitive rope injuries sustained from bottoming and/or topping in rope. We will dive into advanced anatomy, body positioning, healthy ranges of motion in common rope positions and ties. We will also discuss some of the risks of certain positions, pushing the limits of flexibility, and when it is too long to sustain a tie – and what we can do to mitigate these risks when desired/necessary!

Rope Bottom Toolkit

Presenters: Cass Monster & Hazel Montgomery

Summary: This class is aimed towards new folks that are entering the rope scene in a bottom leaning role, but open to everyone as long as they are respectful of that fact. PLEASE COME WITH QUESTIONS! This is a discussion-based class, no rope needed, but please bring note taking supplies, any questions you may have about your rope journey and an open mind. We will be discussing risks with rope bottoming, negotiation skills (hopefully everyone leaves with a personalized “checklist” to have before negotiation), and communication tips as a rope bottom with rope.

Nerves in Rope

Presenters: Cass Monster & Oxblood

Summary: This class will provide handout visuals of different nerve pathways that are commonly affected by rope. We will discuss tips for minimizing risk of nerve injury for different harnesses. We will demonstrate nerve checks you can do with and without a partner. This is a class specifically aimed at keeping rope bottoms safe in rope.

Rope 101

Presenters: Chaska & Meredith

Summary: Rope Basics Class, covering all the fundamental aspects of rope bondage! We’ve updated our presentation to include more material and teach a bit more to get you started on your rope journey. You’ll learn a bit about the history of rope, how to choose the rope that’s right for you, and what we like to discuss before tying with someone. You’ll also learn a single column tie, how to extend rope, and frictions to complete your ties! Even if you’ve been to the Basics before, this might be a great refresher!
