Jane (she/they)
My name is Jane and I’m the RING Leader for Rope Interest Nashville Group, our local rope community! If you ever need help getting sorted on your rope journey, please feel free to message me!! Rope has become a major passion in my life, and I’m happy to share what I’ve learned, both bottoming and topping.
Hazel (she/they)
Hazel (she/they) is a queer and BIPOC rope enthusiast who occupies all roles in the space. She began as a rope bottom in 2019 before moving to Nashville and pursuing a journey as a self-tier and top. She takes a more artistic approach, calling on skills used in her career as a ballerina, and dabbles in the aerial arts world. You will frequently find her climbing to new heights, and taking on new challenges with her lab and tying partner(s). In the teaching space, she enjoys facilitating self-suspension courses on movement and body awareness, as well as social-emotional and somatic studies.
Nea (they/them)
Nea started bottoming for rope in late 2017 and discovered a passion for rope. They’ve spend most of their rope journey tying with Blue. Despite Nea’s chronic disabilities they found a lot of strength in rope and this has driven their passion for body inclusive and disabilities focused rope education.
GrowlinWolf (he/him)
I began my rope journey in 2015, initially incorporating it into scenes as an additional element. In 2020, I deepened my exploration by making rope the primary focus, delving into self-tying for personal growth and enhancing partnered ties. Now, in partnered tying, I find that self-tying and bottoming improve my skills and communication as a top, guided by the principles that learning is endless and embracing mistakes is essential to growth.
I am a top in my daily life, but when it comes to rope, I am a sadomasochistic bottom who loves semenawa.
Currently I serve RING as one of the munch hosts. As community is central to most everything I do, I saw an opportunity to create a space where people could gather and get to know one another outside of the tying environment.
JD (he/him)
Been in the kink community since 2015. Learned a bit of rope (single column, tensions and a couple of frictions) at the beginning of my journey. I started going to RING then and I haven’t looked back. I officially became a member of RING in late 2022. I was ready to do more at that point in my journey to share knowledge and give back to the community that has done so much for me.
Chaska (they/them)
Chaska (they/them) is a queer, Black, nonbinary, neuro-queer educator. They love to nerd out about the soft skills, body mechanics, and relational dynamics within a rope experience. They’re passionate about facilitating spaces that center deep connection, safety, acceptance, and respect.
Derik (he/him)
I’m still making my way in rope, discovering what excites me about it and how I can help bring that excitement to others.
Kaitlyn is a rope bottom and a burgeoning self-tier who got her first taste of rope when she first joined the Nashville kink community in 2011 but has found her passion for it in earnest over the last two years of attending RING events and classes. She enjoys a rope practice that challenges her physical and mental endurance and that represents all bodies can be rope bodies no matter the size, shape, age, or limitations they may come in. You can often find her giggle-snorting with her tying partners or mumbling to herself whilst sorting out a new self-tie.
My rope journey began with a spark of curiosity, and progressed into learning the basics of skill and style, and deepening understanding by developing community connections. RING came along at a key moment when the need for community and quality in person education was high. For me, rope is not only about the physical act of tying but also about the psychological and emotional interplay, making it a deeply intimate and expressive practice.
Xan is a queer trans woman who has spent most of her adult life in the Nashville area. She joined the local rope community after the relaxation of COVID lockdown restrictions. A mechanical engineer by education, she quickly fell in love with rope, the physics behind it, and its safe practices. To her, rope is at an intersection between her hobbies and engineering life that makes the inner nerd in her geek out, and she loves sharing such nerdiness with others.
Rope is something I’ve always been intrigued by! I love the connection, art of it, and variability this type of play offers.
Meronym (kinky, ENM, trans, queer) has been teaching Kink Education classes, welcoming people to public play, since 2010. They have taught bondage classes focused on basics, on bottoming skills, on improvisational techniques, and on their own chaotic tying style.
✘ believes strongly that education, community, and curiosity are important values he resonates with, as a member of RING. This is how he found himself gravitating towards rope and the amazing people in this community.
Cat has been regularly bottoming for rope since 2021, mostly tying with Jane since 2022. She has been lucky to tie with and around folks that teach and encourage active bottoming in rope, and she is passionate about continuing to embody that concept and teach and encourage others to do the same.
