Hi all! I’m Derik, a newer rope enthusiast who is finding my place in this community. I started my kink journey around 2007, but didn’t get into rope until early 2023, which is odd because as a kid I always had rope in my hand, learning knots and tying things. In the meantime I’ve been trying to make up for lost time by learning as much as I can and encouraging others in their rope journey. I enjoy helping others learn, and from my first RING class I felt the same energy of this group. As my skills started growing I knew I wanted to give back through this community. I’m a top in my kink life, but rope is the one place I feel comfortable bottoming and want to explore that a bit more along with self-tying. As a top I enjoy all aspects of rope, from floor work to suspension to artistic, and I’m always looking to learn new techniques or just watch someone enjoying their exploration.
