To advance adult education in activities involving rope.

FAQ

Who are we?

We are a non-dogmatic rope group that works to provide community and opportunities to learn what you feel called to. We provide comprehensive rope education from basics to advanced suspension and technical to social-emotional skills.

Who can join us?

Rope is for everyone! Rope enthusiasts, bottoms, tops, artists, aerial enthusiasts, circus performers, etc. Anyone who is ready to learn, and be respectful of the space and attendees, is welcome with us.

What can I do during events?

During our Jam and Saturday RING, you are welcome to take the classes and/or skillshares offered or participate in open lab time.

Rope Bite is a social event and a wonderful opportunity to come out and meet the community (or find a new rope partner!). Please note that no rope happens at this event.

During our virtual Rope Bottom Roundtable, you can sit in and listen or participate in the conversation! (Please note the restrictions on attendance of the roundtable under the event post).

What can’t I do during events?

You cannot run a scene, participate in sexual or other kink activities (impact, blood play, etc) during any of our educational events, the munch, or the roundtable. We will announce when we host parties and allow these things in the space.

During the Rope Bite, please be respectful of the fact we are in a vanilla space (i.e. no fetish dress or rope play).

Is parking available?

Yes, we have free parking at all three of our in-person events! We have access to handicapped parking as well.

Can I smoke/drink during or before the event?

During our educational events, we ask that you not be under the influence of any drugs or alcohol.  Even if it is within your risk profile, it is not within our insurance’s. During our munch, you are welcome to have a drink or two as long as you remain respectful of the space and attendees.

Each in-person venue has designated smoking areas.

Is the space mobility device accessible?

Yes, all of our events are completely accessible (subject to outside venue policies). If you have any trouble accessing the space, please speak to our staff.

I left something behind, how do I get it back?

If you have left something at an in-person event, please reach out to either of our munch coordinators or another member of our team and we can ask the venue if they have found the item. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

I would like to volunteer with RING. How do I start?

Hang out with us! Consistently showing up to events and letting us get to know you is the best way to get on our radar for volunteering.

Where do donations go?

Donations given to RING go to covering tickets for those who cannot afford access, purchasing new class rope, etc. None of our team members receive any compensation or any of the donations.

Do I need to bring a partner?

Sometimes! If a partner is needed, it will be listed in the class requirements. You are welcome to come without one, but we do not guarantee you will have a class partner.

I can’t afford rope or safety equipment. What should I do?

Please reach out to any of our staff members. We do have class rope for groundwork, but suspension classes will require your own equipment.

I have an incident to report that happened at a RING event. How do I do that?

Please reach out to our staff, and they will assist you in filing an incident report. If the person is making you feel unsafe in the space, please notify us immediately. (email@ringnashville.com).

How do I know what skills/materials are required for each class?

There will be a section under the event description that says “requirements.” If you aren’t sure if you meet them, please send us a message @RINGNashville on any of our platforms.
